How-To: Explorations

Learn how to create custom explorations to uncover insights

In the BlastPoint platform, exploring your data is the key to discovering insights that drive meaningful actions. Segments are used to filter down from your entire audience, while Explorations are used to analyze your segments. The Explore tool allows you to create custom explorations by selecting specific data attributes to visualize for each segment you've created. By analyzing these visualizations, you can better understand your customers and identify opportunities to enhance engagement and business outcomes.

Putting it All Together

  1. Identify key segments for exploration
  2. Select relevant data attributes for each segment
  3. Analyze the visualizations to uncover insights and opportunities
  4. Take action based on the discovered insights

Step 1:

Review your existing segments and consider which ones require deeper analysis. Prioritize segments based on their potential impact on your business goals or current challenges.

Example: If you're looking to run an enrollment in E-billing LinkedIn campaign, focus on segments with customers not enrolled in E-billing and a high propensity score for LinkedIn.

Step 2:

In the BlastPoint platform, navigate to the Explore tool and click "Explore Your Data"

After adding a Title and Description, select the segment/s you want to explore and click Submit.

Repeat this process for each segment and attribute combination you want to analyze.

Step 3:

Examine the visualizations to identify patterns, trends, and outliers in your data. Look for insights that can help you better understand your customers and their needs.

Step 4:

When you're ready to take action on these insights, you can conveniently export your exploration and use it as a Campaign List. Just be sure to add the necessary account information using the "Select Attributes" feature before exporting using the "Download" button.

Example: If you are planning an email campaign, make sure to add email addresses to the exploration before export. For direct mail, do the same with street addresses, and so on.

Conclusion
Creating explorations in the BlastPoint platform is a powerful way to discover actionable insights for each of your customer segments. By selecting relevant data attributes and visualizing them using the Explore tool, you can gain a deeper understanding of your customers and identify opportunities to improve engagement and business performance. Regularly exploring your data and acting on the insights you uncover will help you stay ahead of the curve and drive meaningful results.
